What is SEA?

Solent Electronic archive (SEA) is the University’s institutional repository for the storage and promotion of university research and enterprise.

Content includes a range of journal articles at pre-or post-publication stage, published chapters, conference papers, visual media and academic theses.

The institutional repository aims to be an open access repository, but access may be restricted because of copyright issues. In addition, some items, such as undergraduate dissertations, have been restricted to staff and students of the university. To access that content, you will need to login with your university username and password.

Who can access it?

Any member of the public can access the website ( although some content is restricted to staff and students of the university. The repository is listed on OpenDOAR and the content is searchable through Google.

Searching SEA

Use Simple search or Advanced search to look for specific items or you can browse by author, faculty, subject or year. All entries contain details about the items and,where possible, we have provided the full text or a link to it in an external source.
