Library services from Monday 16th August:

From Monday 16th August, Solent students and staff will be able to access the library’s study spaces and computers without needing to book one in advance.  You will need to bring your campus card with you in order to access the library.

To support students and staff who may wish to continue to work in a bookable, socially distanced area, a limited number of socially distanced computers on Floor 0A of the library will be available for such use.  These computers need to be pre-booked via the computer booking system. For information on how to book, see our booking guide.

Solent students and staff can continue to access the library to browse the shelves and borrow items during library opening hours without making a reservation.

Please continue to follow sanitising guidance when browsing the shelves.

You can continue to return items borrowed from the library during opening hours.

Covid-19 testing:

Please see the Covid-19 testing information and FAQs for details of the requirements for regular Covid testing when visiting the campus.  Please ensure you have had a negative Covid test within the 72 hours prior to visiting the library.

Please note: the library is currently only open to students and staff of Solent University.  We are not able to welcome external visitors or students from other universities or colleges at present, or offer access via the SCONUL Access scheme which is currently suspended.
