Reference list format 

ARTIST SURNAME, Initial., Year of Performance.  Title of concert [or description of performance if no title] [live performance].  Place of performance: Performance venue.  Date of performance

If the performance was by a band, enter the band name instead of an artist name.

 

Reference list examples

SMITH, H., 2016.  Music performed at conference gala dinner [live performance].  Southampton: Southampton Solent University.  15th October.

TAKE THAT, 2009.  The Circus Live [live performance].  London: Wembley Stadium.  3rd July.

 

Include the details of both artists/authors in the in-text citations and the full reference list.

Only the first artist surname is reversed in the full reference list entry.

 

In-text reference examples

Lady Gaga and Cooper (2024) have collaborated on this track ... 

This song was the soundtrack to the musical A Star is Born (Lady Gaga and Cooper 2018).

If any, or all, of the performers were a band, enter the band name instead of an artist name as appropriate.

The format for adding two artists/authors is shown below.  You then need to follow the format for the rest of this reference type as shown in the 'Standard reference' tab:
 

LADY GAGA and B. COOPER, 2018. [Add full reference details for the source type after the artists/authors]

Include the details of all three artists/authors in both the in-text citations and the full reference list.

Only the first artist surname is reversed in the full reference list entry.

If your live performance has four or more artists/authors, just include the first artist/author in both the in-text citation and full reference list entry.  You will need to add et al. after the first artist/author to indicate there were multiple additional authors.

It is clear that the song was enhanced by the good verses in the song (Drake et al. 2009).

If the artist is a 'band' name (even if one person), treat it as a corporate author e.g. LADY GAGA.
