• The Copyright User website, which is linked to in many places in this guide, provides a good summary of the copyright issues discussed here. It is also a good place to begin if you are looking for information about using copyright as a creator.
• Professor Emily Hudson, University of Oxford, has drafted a paper about using audiovisual works in online teaching under copyright exceptions. Although its focus is on the use of film, TV, and images, this paper will be useful to anyone interested in using copyright exceptions extensively. Hudson explains the principles underlying use of exceptions and provides an example of the type of thinking that can help clarify whether a proposed use under an exception is valid. On the final page there is a checklist for applying section 32.

• Solent Library contains several textbooks covering intellectual property, most of which devote a few pages to discussing each of the topics presented here.
