Borrowing books & using the Library from Sep 2020

From September 2020 there will be some changes to how you use and access the library:

Borrowing print books and other physical items:

  • You will need to request print books and other physical items you want to borrow from the library in advance using the 'Click & Collect' service.
  • It will not be possible to browse the Library shelves
  • Use the Library Catalogue to identify books you want - we have an extensive provision of ebooks but if the title you want is held in print, please request it via Click & Collect.

Studying in the Library:

  • If you want to study in the library you will need to pre-book a study space.
  • Group study and individual study rooms are not available at present.

Using a PC/Mac in the Library:

  • To use a PC or Mac in the library you will need to book one a day in advance

More details on how to use these services and to book a computer/study space is available from the COVID 19 - Solent Library services online and on site LibGuide.
