Box of Broadcasts (BoB)

BoB company logo

Box of Broadcasts or BoB as it is commonly referred to is a service provided by the British Universities Film and Video Council.

The service allows you to watch, record and create clips from television and radio broadcasts

There is an archive of BBC programmes back to 2007.

Missed a useful programme? No problem there is permanent archive of all broadcast content from nine channels: BBC1 London / BBC2 / BBC4 / ITV London / Channel 4 / More4 / Channel 5 / BBC Radio 4 / BBC Radio 4 Extra or you may find it has been recorded by one of the other 85 UK university subscribers.

Library Chat

Our chat service is available 24/7 so no matter when you contact us there will always be a librarian on hand to help. During library staffed opening hours we provide a locally staffed service, where you will chat to a member of Solent Library.

During evenings, weekends, and bank holidays your chat may be directed to our staffed "out of hours services" in another university library which may be located anywhere in the world.  If they are unable to answer your question directly they will be able refer it back to Solent library staff who will be able to respond by email accordingly.
