Support during the COVID 19 outbreak

Click and Collect during building closure

If you urgently need items on Click and Collect you can continue to request them during the lockdown period.

Collections from the Library building are possible between 1pm and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Please consider if your request is essential and do not travel to the university campus unless it is absolutely necessary.

Library fully online from 5 January

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic the Library building will close from 6pm on Tuesday 5 January until further notice.

We will continue to provide extensive online support and access to a wide range of online resources which you can find out more about on this guide.

You can contact us for support via Live Chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

We will extend loan periods on print books and laptops so you do not need to worry about returning items to us until the building reopens.

Solent Library online services

The Library continues to offer a huge range of online resources and services, meaning that you can make the most of the support we offer for your learning without ever leaving home.

Our staff are continuing to support students off campus through live chat and LibGuides where you can book an appointment for one to one support online with your Information Librarian,  Referencing and Academic Skills support.
