Library services: updates

The Library is currently open to Solent students, staff and visitors.  Please bring your campus card with you to borrow items and to access the Library when the turnstiles are up.  The turnstiles are up from 5.00pm on weekdays and during weekends.

Members of the public wishing to use the Library must apply for a Visitor Pass and receive it before their first visit.  Please see the visitors guide for full details about visitor access and to complete the Visitor Pass request form.

Alumni and SCONUL subscribers: please see the Subscribers page for details of how to apply for access or use the relevant link on the left.

Tuesday 2nd April 2024 - Friday 20th December 2024

• Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 11.00pm
• Saturday to Sunday: 11.00am - 11.00pm

Christmas opening hours 2024

• Saturday 21st December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Sunday 22nd December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Monday 23rd December - Thursday 26th December: CLOSED
• Friday 27th December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Saturday 28th December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Sunday 29th December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Monday 30th December: 11.00am - 5.00pm
• Tuesday 31st December - Wednesday 1st January 2025: CLOSED

• • A Visitor Pass will be required by anyone who isn't a student/staff member at Solent University who wishes to access the Library during the Christmas opening hours advertised above.  You can apply for a Visitor Pass online but please allow at least 3 working days for the request to be processed.
