The group organises library staff charity events with beneficiaries including Children in Need, Sport Relief and the Southampton Food Bank. As well as personal support of environmental issues and charities such as One Pen, One Book, One Child.
Throughout the year, these events have included Fairtrade cake sales, second-hand book sale, reverse calendar appeals donating food and personal toiletries to Southampton Food Bank and raising money towards One Pen, One Book, One Child Project, which also involved taking stationary donations, which in turn were taken out to Ethiopia by library colleagues who funded the visit themselves.
